ISP tweaks L4D2 to give the player a challenging survival horror game, bot commands, and a few options to customize the gameplay. ISP works with any map.
When i first tried L4D i thought it was a game with a great personality and the potential to be an awesome single player experience; what it lacked was a decent - single player oriented - tuning.
And this is what im giving you.
You are now given the opportunity to really LEAD the survivors.
Tell them to hold position, follow you, hold fire and sneak.
Take control of each survivor and place them carefully on the battlefield before facing hordes.
The game will not play itself anymore, zombies are stronger and you need to THINK.
Where is a good place to fight?
Where can i draw the zombie's attention without getting overwhelmed?
Where should i put survivors to better cover me (without shooting me)?
Finales are especially challenging (and satisfying once you beat them).
Melee weapons are still there, but they are primary... so you have to choose: big axe or big gun?
Items/survivors/specials are not glowing anymore and the game will not babysit you anymore with help icons, you are on your own.
I am also giving you a way to better customize difficulty, so you can now adjust zombie's health, speed and spawn quantity.
A version that completely restores specials spawning might be added in the future.
The mod has gone through a 3 weeks testing just for gameplay balance, its not groundbreaking but it honestly does what is needed.
If you liked the old RainbowSix games, Hidden&Dangerous, SWAT 4, you will like the tactical flavour and the challenge that ISP gave to L4D2.
