"Imperial Assault II: Rise of the Empire" is a Clone Wars modification for Petroglyph's "Empire at War". It will add the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems allowing players to experience both "The Rebellion" era as well as "The Rise of the Empire" era. In Imperial Assault II you control the Clone Wars, command key battles of such as Geonosis and Coruscant, or hunt down the Jedi in Order 66, the galaxy is in your hands it’s your Empire.
First things I would like to say is that IA2 is not dead. We will never give up, never surrender. We also have forgotten about ModDB, but I have begun updating the profile here, and will add new (and some exclusive) shots here. That being said, here is some news.
Now, alot of you have been asking me about galaxys, planets, etc. Well here is a list of the planets we will have in the game. This list is final.
60 Planets. Why only 60? The FoC engine begins to lag heavily when you exceed that number of planets. When I mod claims they will have more then that, it wont happen. Yes, we did cut planets. Here are the ones that will NOT be in the mod.
The reason the list is final is because we have created all new planets textures. Here are some examples:
