Unlimited_X MOD is a modification based on Homeworld 2. It will set up a new world for the players - new storyline and background infomation, new races, new maps and new effects.. etc. UXMOD will just has a develop team of one moder. It's somehow a "private" mod containing the moder's imagination.

Sweet... but...
The beam looks... a bit too large for a ship like that. The only possible way that light can spread out and then curve inwards is... is... no way, actually. It would rather be more realistic if barrel was about the same size or larger than the production from it. Just stating my opinion.
Oh, the background is amazing, it does show the features of the ships really well, while still being nice eyecandy.
Light can bend in the presence of extreme gravity.
Moreover, who says that's light being fired? It could be trillions of atomized particles being fired, which themselves are giving off light.
I'd say the more important thing is that it just doesn't look good with a beam that large.
But as for the point of these pictures: I really like the background, but I'd add more stars, and broaden your range of colors. (At least some green and purple, and maybe some yellow on the planet)
To jupjupy: Emm, thank you for the advise on the beam. I'll resize it and make it smaller, wish that could be better:)
On the other hand, that beam cannon will still be a little larger than the muzzle, since it's an experimental heavy weapon which can do great damage in a shot.

To Hell_Diguner: Well, as for the background, I'll do more backgrounds with more colour(just like the earlier one in blue and green). This is somehow a try of background in this style. Thanks for your comment:)
