Hokuto no Doom: 19XX Edition is special a cut of Hokuto no Doom, a standalone Doom mod developed by Benoit Spacher (aka iceman57) based on Hokuto no Ken, the seminal anime and manga written by Buronson and illustrated by Tetsuo Hara.
This edition was made with iceman57's blessings by me, Facínora, and includes:
- All the original Hokuto no Doom assets (separated from the Doom shareware, with which it was originally distributed);
- The insanely cool MIDI versions of the Hokuto no Ken anime songs made by Stephan “Selfdestructboy” Hauschildt.
- A version of the Sergeant Mark IV's Ketchup Gore Mod that makes enemies always explode when killed by Kenshiro. I made some jerry-rigs for this to work;
- A map for deathmatches (Metz Cathedral, also from iceman57);
- A standalone pack, but with Zandronum (not Doom95 like the original). Almost ready to play;
- There are also some minor fixings and modifications and I plan to add one more thing eventually;
- It's also compatible with Kimo Xvirus', HNDMELEE.WAD melee patch.

I think you should add some attacks that can insta-kill after some seconds of waiting, like how Kenshiro does in the anime. There could also be an attack that paralyses the enemy. It would also be cool if there was a attack that would make only their heads explode, like a glory kill. There are a lot of insane attacks in HNK that would translate really well to the gory world of Doom.
That would be cool, but I don't know how to do it.
Can you make it so that every so attacks, kenshiro makes a quote from the anime? And each attack has quotes unique to them? (For example, for the bfg replacement, he says omae wa mou shinderu!)
I'm playing this in the newest version of GZDoom and keys don't work. I'll pick them up, go to the door, and it'll tell me that I need that key to open it despite already having the key. Is this a bug or a compatibility issue or something?
