This is a mod made by a Korean mapper. The read me is almost empty. It seems to be a remake of Half-Life! It starts with a tram ride, followed by collecting your hazard suit, then pushing the material into the test chamber and watch things go wrong.
Description
Residual Point (2004-2007, 2020's last update). You’re W Jack Sohn, a PH D. MIT Theoretical Physics Decided Major, Research Associate at Black Mesa Biodome laboratory. The story is set on HL1’s official or maybe alternate timeline. Resonance Cascade occurs and once again you have to fight your way through the alien invasion. These are the 2007/2008 original (1.0) version + the last maps/chapters "Residual Point" and "Final Escape", with my own saved games. To reach the last maps : at the red teleporter ("Dread Plot" chapter), there are now 2 purple crystals on the rear face. Shoot them both. Then step into the teleport and instead of triggering the original ending, you will go to "Residual Point" chapter.

What "2020 update"?
Also, "last maps" and "Final Escape"? What are those?
Nearly everyone missed it.
But 13 years after original release, the dev released but without any news, a patch where the red teleporter can now be modified to go to the last 2 chapters instead of the original abrupt ending.
Some players managed before to access those levels with console /map xx but even then, the last map was « unfinished »... until some months ago.
Behold, Residual Point in all its glory.
Btw, the original files have been taken down by the dev itself for nebulous reasons so maybe he’ll delete again those files.
So, 2020 update gives us 2 new chapters called "Residual Point" and "Final Escape"? If so, what are the map names?
I also checked my own mod folder and it has way more maps than this download, what are the differences?
Nothing behing those 2 "new" parts, in the end it's just a "retcon" of RP's original ending.
I don't know if you have seen it but like in Residual Life, you have 2 different paths "Parking" and "Sewer", I never saw anyone make a playthrough of Sewer road, you can check full chapter list in video description.
This is the best mod i have ever played for far. I loved everything, its perfect.
I have downloaded the last 2 maps and files for getting the very true ending some months ago.
I know a lot of people didnt even know the creator of this mod has uploaded the neccessary files to get the true ending.
Gonna download and play again, it's been a long time but isn't there supposed to be multiple endings, one of which is being nuked in the parking lot?
Not this one, perhaps you think about Black Guard or Echoes. There was the same ending for 12 years with the red teleport and credits, now you have the original intended ending after the 2 last chapters.

Residual Life was one of the best mods I played. As for Residual Point when I first tried it, it was not good for me and an I could not pass a certain area without cheats. I'll see this version and try it. Thanks for still caring to make the mod better!
Very Weird It's titled HL Survivor 1.0 in my library. Had a go seems ok.
It's a weird mess of different files, the original one and the old betas.
Survivor is not 100% Residual Point [i]per se[/i], check my video playthrough to see if it's the last version, otherwise the file may not be well installed, or it's my own files that are corrupted.
I've noticed there's some unused things like a desert eagle and also the voltigore from Half-Life: Opposing Force.

I like to use cheats like noclip to take both routes.
I need help because at the beginning of the game on the train the big wooden door does not open for me and therefore I cannot move forward but if I use noclip if I can but it does not load me after the scientists

I think i have already played some maps from Residual Point in Sven Co-op. But not from Residual Point itself, actually the maps you can find on some servers are from the "primitive" versions of Residual Point, im talking about "White Force" and "Survivor". So Residual Point is the conjunction of those 2 mods.

How to download Zombie Edition : Residual Agent?
A good mod ruined by a ******* bug! The tram does not move at the start of the level at the first gate!
When you say "except the 'maps' folder" - you meant the "SAVE" folder, no? If you don't download the maps folder you can't access the new chapters
Does anyone know how to fix the bug at the beginning of the tram ride? the wooden door won't open
