This mod aims to replace or improve textures in game with new high resolution work while retaining the original feeling and color palette of the game. Characters in game will be given much higher variety of uniforms, equipment and decals which will allow for much deeper experience for those who want to revisit the game or play it for the first time after long time. The textures are redone using original ones as base whenever possible (most are still nice and have at least basic realism) to retain original design, but all textures are upscaled to twice (or more) of original resolution, sharpened, and have decals either redrawn, or replaced with as much reverence to realism as possible. In effect the skins are extra realistic, but also don't look out of place - everything is done as to not ruin the original scene background and color palette that has been developed specially for SPR and MoHAA.

Awesome, Is the arm patch intended to be covered with brown in this mission?

Hi, sorry for late reply; yes, those are gas detection brassards - all the infantrymen landing on beaches on D-Day were instructed to wear these. These were present on models in MoH:Frontline, but omitted in MoH:AA, so I added them on textures; only in D-Day in other missions the soldiers don't wear them (as was the case in WWII)

Description

Hello again in another update. This will also be last update for now, and for a good reason, as the mod is almost ready for pre-release - which means that most probably for next weekend you'll be able to download it and check it out.
For now it will be version 0.9, but it has about 90% of planned functions of 1.0.

On the screens today we have one of features that are so far done and will be fully available in this version, further remake of factions and missions.
More models and variants of soldiers were added, with new variants of uniforms and added more ranks, and other minor changes. Helmet markings especially were made crisper and slightly bigger (~15%), that now they do their intended function: make it easier to find officers/NCOs among group of soldiers.
For D-Day mission all soldiers received proper equipment, with not only M5 gas masks but also missing gas brassards on their shoulders added. For realism also weapon choice was slightly remade, eg. Rangers have higher number of Thompsons available to them (=higher chance of spawning with one), while for 29th Infantry they're rare, but they have way more BARs.

Similar changes are done to other factions too, for example German soldiers will have different ranks with corresponding insignia (Gefreiter, Obergefreiter) and different medals and badges, with certain chance to spawn (ofc, higher ranks and veterans will be rarer). Different variants of equipment will be there for different settings - for example soldiers who are in combat zone will be fully equipped, wear helmets, carry bags, pouches and grenades; while those in rear areas or resting will have little to no equipment and wear only light field caps.

Not all levels could be redone (requires lots of testing=time), but so far missions 1, 2 and parts of 3 and 6 have that NPC randomization introduced, which should give a good view on what's to come later, and catch onto some bugs in case they're there.
