This mod aims to replace or improve textures in game with new high resolution work while retaining the original feeling and color palette of the game. Characters in game will be given much higher variety of uniforms, equipment and decals which will allow for much deeper experience for those who want to revisit the game or play it for the first time after long time. The textures are redone using original ones as base whenever possible (most are still nice and have at least basic realism) to retain original design, but all textures are upscaled to twice (or more) of original resolution, sharpened, and have decals either redrawn, or replaced with as much reverence to realism as possible. In effect the skins are extra realistic, but also don't look out of place - everything is done as to not ruin the original scene background and color palette that has been developed specially for SPR and MoHAA.

The colors in screens seem to be slightly altered, for reasons unknown to me when taking screenshots in-game the colors in screenshot are different from how they look in game, even when taking lighting into account. While taking screenshots in MP menu shows proper colors.
It's not like those are huge changes to the colors, but when there are subtle differences it's kinda annoying - for example I specifically left default shirt to be gray to remain closer to vanilla game, and KM shirt to be cotton white, and of course it is not visible at all in the post...:) but whatever.

So here's presentation from MP menu, with proper colors:

Sorry, I got stopped by some IRL stuff that sadly will slightly delay the release, I don't know when it will be possible to release it for sure, but it's near

Description

Hello again, here's another monthly update to keep the page alive.

The work on the mod continues as before, but there are some unforeseen problems with script I work on, as either the script itself or some part of the game seems to have problem with replacing certain models (switching models of some names simply doesn't work sometimes). Until I find out how to fix it some switches might have to wait.

Other than that, I still work on increasing the variety where possible. Some time ago I made alternative variants for German workers. Basic variant with shirt and green HBT trousers got refreshed a little, and three new variants were added, as you can see on screens:

1. Afrika Korps logistic/Panzer technician - khaki and green tropical shirts with brown trousers, optionally with DAK hats;

2. Kriegsmarine U-boot technician - white shirt with Kriegsmarine navyblue-gray pants, optionally with Kriegsmarine caps; they're met exclusively in mission 2;

3. SS Panzer maintenance mechanic - SS pea-dot pants and standard gray shirt, optionally with Panzer caps; they will be met in Normandy mission 4 where you sabotage SS division tanks and in mission 5 as repair crew for King Tiger

Apart from that, at the moment I'm working on randomising allied soldiers models on Omaha mission (excluding non-random characters) and additional variety in winter models for both Germans and Americans (which for US means making winter skins from scratch since they have none).
Still, if the above-mentioned problems will persist I will simply release the mod with just partial changes to missions where it's possible, and add the remaining stuff in patches, so that it won't hurt the release time.

See you next time!
