Ham and Jam is a teamplay orientated, first person WW2 multiplayer game centred around the British and Commonwealth campaigns from 1939-45. Historically accurate missions coupled with careful balance between realistic and enjoyable gameplay makes Ham and Jam a unique experience. Ham and Jam started out as an idea between it's two main developers as an alternative to the tired old "U.S./Russia vs. Germany, post June 6th 1944" formulae WW2 games seem to use. Fed-up with everything prior to D-Day being ignored, the North West Europe theatre and the lack of British, Commonwealth and Free Forces they decided to do something about it. The goal was clear, to make a WW2 mod that featured all the missing bits of WW2 history, portray it in a historically accurate way but without detracting from the fun or playability by overdoing realism. In short the kind of game they and their friends would like to play. The name comes from the original code words for the capture of the Pegasus/Orne bridges
Taken by one of our beta testers in a recent playtest.
Showcasing some gameplay on Pegasus around the first 2 objectives and bridge.

Looks awesome guys, all weapons have iron sights ?
Yes, all weapons have them. Some are more useful than others. Rifle ironsights give a slight bonus of extra range before damage fades out so very useful for long range shooting over the crosshair.
looking awesome
Ah sweet! I like the melee fight ;)
Looks Awesome! Very similar to dod which is great because I loved that game soo much, so this is going to be even better :D
I really love the Enfield sounds! Great job.
lol ironsights need abit of work..i feel there kinda awkward in a way
Why is there a delay between the shoot sound and the flash produced? Fix your events.
It couldn't possibly be lag in either the demo playback or recorder either...
The events are fine.
Oh right on, should probably sort that out in the video, a bit tricky. Map looks identical to the one we had for Darkest Hour lol.
Isn't that a map from darkest hour?
It's based on a real mission so it will look similar, except ours is a lot more realistic and is to scale. Stuff is within 6' of its actual real world position and size at the time.
We have done our research for it and have many tens if not hundreds of pages of research including trips to site, original resistance maps, period aerial recce photos and visiting the original sand table map in the 6th AB museum.
The Iron Sights are good.. I think though when you reload, it should unsight a bit.
There is no sniper rifle with a scope? They did have them then, though crude, still was there.
No need for a sniper rifle for various reasons. They were still pretty rare and at the ranges ingame (even the larger maps) ironsights are good enough for it. A sniper wouldn't have been used in the situations.
As for unsighting when reloading, do you mean working the bolt? This is an console command option but most people find it better to stay zoomed in as it can get nauseating zooming in and out.
