Ham and Jam is a teamplay orientated, first person WW2 multiplayer game centred around the British and Commonwealth campaigns from 1939-45. Historically accurate missions coupled with careful balance between realistic and enjoyable gameplay makes Ham and Jam a unique experience. Ham and Jam started out as an idea between it's two main developers as an alternative to the tired old "U.S./Russia vs. Germany, post June 6th 1944" formulae WW2 games seem to use. Fed-up with everything prior to D-Day being ignored, the North West Europe theatre and the lack of British, Commonwealth and Free Forces they decided to do something about it. The goal was clear, to make a WW2 mod that featured all the missing bits of WW2 history, portray it in a historically accurate way but without detracting from the fun or playability by overdoing realism. In short the kind of game they and their friends would like to play. The name comes from the original code words for the capture of the Pegasus/Orne bridges

i've seen that wheat texture in insurgency! i think?

haha, you can always make the wheat appear to be 3d
i would hand place them (instead of brushing) at random and at different angles.

so you'd have your individual what structures shaped something like X, but of course you probably know that lol.

but again i'd like to say that i really like the cottages, very awesome, down with the straight lines!

Why is it that almost every game has the Germans wear the shiny Black/Grey Steel Helmets without cover?

Any Wehrmacht unit that had any combat experience soon stopped using the vanilla helmets and used helmet covers to decrease visibility - they would even go so far as to cut the Splittertarn tents of their fallen comrades into form to be used as helmet cover.

Only the inexperienced troops of 1939 and the poorly trained of 1944/45 would have worn the helmet without a fabric cover or matte paint.
The shiny helmet would be worn for parades and propaganda photos, but not much more if it could be avoided...
