Ham and Jam is a teamplay orientated, first person WW2 multiplayer game centred around the British and Commonwealth campaigns from 1939-45. Historically accurate missions coupled with careful balance between realistic and enjoyable gameplay makes Ham and Jam a unique experience. Ham and Jam started out as an idea between it's two main developers as an alternative to the tired old "U.S./Russia vs. Germany, post June 6th 1944" formulae WW2 games seem to use. Fed-up with everything prior to D-Day being ignored, the North West Europe theatre and the lack of British, Commonwealth and Free Forces they decided to do something about it. The goal was clear, to make a WW2 mod that featured all the missing bits of WW2 history, portray it in a historically accurate way but without detracting from the fun or playability by overdoing realism. In short the kind of game they and their friends would like to play. The name comes from the original code words for the capture of the Pegasus/Orne bridges
Media from the December 2009 update, all content WIP.
A German gets the drop on some Polish soldiers with a flanking manoeuvre.
woah, tha Mp40 looks so damn nice :D can't wait for the release of this, keep up guys
aidas2, aren't you a CoH Modder?
Yes this looks beautiful
BTW, Polish are also playable?
yea, waht about it? Can't I comment on others great work?
That gun looks quite cartoonish. I suppose it is WIP though so hopefully it will be changed. Also what weapons are the Polish going to have?
MP40 look cartoon ! (texture)
yeah, it does look cartoonish. but in a cool, TF2 way
It looks cartoonish because it doesn't have a skin, just blocked out colours on the texture.
Polish have the same weapons at the British, like in reality as they fought under British Command.
mp40 reminds me of tf2
I think it looks cool ;)
Awesome!
sweet!
Um...Its an MP-41...
Soz im a gun nut, the MP-40 was all metal, thats the MP41, it has a wooden stock n butt, if i memba.
It's a MP40, it wasn't all metal, it had a bakerlite stock which varied in appearance from black to brown.
As this is only a temporary "block colour" skin you can't see the detail.
sorry but what i see is an MP-41, ive never seen a wooden or brown MP-40. So at the moment, im classing it as a MP-41.
Just incase this turns out into a debate, ill put some links here.
http://www.world.guns.ru/smg/smg78-e.htm - Mp-41.
http://www.world.guns.ru/smg/smg33-e.htm - Mp-40.
But until i see the detail, ill just say its a MP-41 until im corrected.
It's an MP40.
It doesn't have a wooden stock, it has a bakelite handgrip which could vary in appearance (due to bakelite supplies and manufacture) from light brown to black. It could also be made from steel or aluminium. It was more commonly made from bakelite as it was cheaper and lighter.
"One idiosyncratic and visible feature on most MP 38 and MP 40 submachine guns was an aluminum, steel, or bakelite resting bar or support under the barrel "
As you can see on this deactivated period example, it has a dark brown finish to the hand grip:

And as it has been said three times already, it is work in progress and the texture is only a placeholder.
I stand corrected.
Oh well, Still can't wait to play this lol, it looks very good, and promising.
SO we got Resistance and liberation that pits US Airborne vs the Germans and now this, commonwealth forces against the germans.
Oh and well done, i see you've done ALOT more research than me.
It is MP40:
1st) Mp41 stopped production at 1941
2nd) the battle of Pegasus bridge was after DDday (after 1944)
3rd) There were 2 colour of Mp40: 1 with black lower reciever and 2nd with Bakelight colour.
4th) The devs sayed themselfs its a Mp40 ( browse couple pics back ).
5th) In one picture of the mP40 in game u can clearly see that the back parts angles down like an Mp40, and Mp41 goes different way.
Haha Alrite, I dont mind, The MP-40 was one of the most reliable SMG's in WW2, just aslong as u dont have like the MP-28 its all good haha EWW MP28.
