Oh..sorry for double post too, but forgot to say

The scale will be decided once we have more station designs, we plan on having more than one type of station/stations with large extention modules to build more things

I don't really like the design. It's too Forerunner like. I expected something more human and boxlike.

chakotay02,

If you compare the Shipyard design to the oh-so-well known Pillar of Autumn, It's VERY similar. First off, the PoA/Halcyon-class is a mainly diamond based shape, not your so called "box". Its shape serves exactly the purpose it's used for, Big open entry/exit area, along with a smaller below so many ships can be built/retrofitted at a time.

Before passing judgment on our designs, think over why they are like that, and what would make your idea better. Then try to convince us. If we see things your way, chances are your design will upstage Ringleaders.

@ the forerunner comment

I can only presume you think it looks forerunner-esque due to the many lines on it and it's ireqgular shape, the lines don't resemble the hyrogplyics the forerunner use, they're meany to represent lines in the hull plating and other doo-dads on it, to make it even less forerunner, when it's skinned it'll be the standard titanium A colour rather than the stone/metal hybrid colour the forerunner use

its a factory.....it doesn't need uber mass lol

besides, modeled version will look better than the concept, since its hard to give depth to a concept

I honestly expected the shipyard to look more like the Cradle, just a big metal box. If I were going to put it in the game, I would've made it more like a Slipspace-aid station? (That sounded extremely stupid).

Description

Here is the birthing place of most UNSC ships. The Shipyard. Varying in size and general design, these factories can build ships in orbit around planets. While normally placed near an Orbital elevator, the shipyard can also be moved to build and manage ships elsewhere, due to it's large resource storage bay. (Halcyon not drawn to scale)
