Our representation of Halo's iconic space combat in the Homeworld 2 engine, which puts the player in command of some of the most powerful weapons fielded by the UNSC and Covenant and to provide a balanced and competitive experience.
Only two Astraeus-class Battleships were ver built. The UNSC Contingency and the UNSC Field of Hope. Both were left in there briths, half constructed, when a Covenant fleet assaulted and glassed the industrial colony where they lay. The two ships survived, a testament to their endurance and power. The UNSC diverted billions of dollars to finish construction under a new name. That of Astraeus, Titan god of the stars.
Looks good, but what is that square "hole" in the side of the ship, is it like a hangar or something?
Pvt. B,
That inlet is in fact a hangar. The Battleship will be able to store your fighters for slipspace travel.

The hole isn't actualy a hangar, it's a module slot, you -could- build a hangar on the slot, or you could place another turret in the space, or other modules..
Like Epic-Doom Cannon!??!!?!?
man, this thing is gonna kick ***!
One question though, how are you going to balance the humans with the covenant So the humans don't get destroyed immediately? Because if half your battlegroup is frigates, and they don't due squat, then how can you win as humans?
i think there should be a balanced and realistic mode so you can have a fair fight or feel like a captain or admiral in the war
the battleship is very big
very very big
hehe, its only like.....3/2 the size of the Halcyon...lol
Heh. No. it's bigger.
3/2 the size of the Marathon...there.....that good?
Actualy if you look at my scaling pic..it's like twice the size..
not based on the models u gave me lol
Scaling pic? intersting... could you post that?
um.....we'll see =P
Probably..But it's a while off, you'll expect a fully textured UNSC faction before we release one of the scale renders/charts so that we don't have to constantly edit it every time we make a change..
Or perhaps not according to the latest pic..
you know you love it....
mmmm...nvm. lol. yea ur right :P probably around that.
There you go again with the scaling...
what do you mean?
RL, we didn't mention scaling of any of the ships you were arguing about last time..so don't bother stirring that up again
And we're talking about a ship that you would have no idea about and thus cannot argue about it's size compared to other UNSC ships..
Probably still thinks Cov ships are bigger?
probably are...cov ships are huge!
one word. "awsome"
^ I agree another well designed ship, whose look and feel fits perfectly with the 'rough edges' designs of other UNSC ships. Tell me would it use the Super-MAC? The ones equipped to the orbital stations, Bungie have said before that the UNSC were working on building a ship capable of using these cannons to counter the Covenant but constant attacks and defeats depleted resources faster than predicted and they were unable to build the ships.
That would be sweet!
Great ship, I love it..2 of them coming at the enemies base lol
Currently we only plan on it using a normal MAC, how ever given it's length it's plausable it could mount a SMAC, the only issue would be power generation onboard the ship.
Meh, we'll decide when it comes to balancing if it's already too over powered or if it does need something extra.
couldn't it use a sort of heavy MAC or 2 or 3 MACs??
The size of the reactor in that battleship would huge evan a small one and would produce enough power to probaly power a couple SMACs
the ship looks good
tell ya what...i'll trade you the textures for the model file...
The ridge on top seems perfect for a little frigate sized MAC.
