The Prowler will be a mid/late game research and build that will more than likely give you the upper hand against your enemy. It will have a 'cloak' ability and act as a scout. The Prowler will also be able to lay Moray space mines undetected, which can cause major grief to the enemy player. In direct light, you can see the photoreactive panels on the hull (it's the hexagon pattern).
The Tigershark is a small harassment unit that is in between the Mako and the Hammerhead corvettes. The Tigershark will come with two heavy turrets and a longbow missile turret, which does more damage than an Archer. Won't go into specifics, but the Longbow missile is used for penetrating shields and heavy armor. This corvette will be easily affordable and available early game.

Will the prowler later have pulse lasers like in the books? makes sense since the other weapons systems are detectable to the enemy
Nope. It doesn't have pulse lasers in the books.
Actually, page 50 of Ghosts of Onyx says the Prowler has pulse laser turrets.

Glad someone found the concept it's based off. The bottom one is being used for the MAKO, too.
i do like this design, its grown on me, it may well find its way into my mod when i get time to do it. not sure about the bottom one yet though, doesnt look as warship-like enough for me but we'll see. keep up the good work
