Our representation of Halo's iconic space combat in the Homeworld 2 engine, which puts the player in command of some of the most powerful weapons fielded by the UNSC and Covenant and to provide a balanced and competitive experience.
Carrier frigate, designed mainly for quickly delivering marine forces to conflict zones.
In gameplay terms, a relatively fragile frigate designed for harrassment and long range combat with it's large sensor radius, long range torpedo bays and ability to launch it's own fighter support.
Looks more like a destroyer imo. Nice model anyway.
thats nice
Wow, thats beautiful!
That little hole in the front looks like a MAC gun, am I right?
Mhmm.
...so this thing's big enough to carry longswords? Or does it use some type of smaller fighter?
Yeah, it carries longswords in the forward section, you can see the nose of one dangling out.
I can see it lol the nose of the longsword :D
I like these little eastereggs ;)
It is a nice model, but more of a Destroyer look I feel. Also, I'd change the proportions a bit. The middle part a little less height and the back a little wider perhaps. Nice job though, and a fast one too.
I admit it's more destroyery because it looks weightier and more solid than the frigate, but given the tiny size difference between the two classes and their obvious deviation from current definitions i decided i'd follow these definitions:
Frigates - common warships designed to rapidly respond to situations, deliver marine forces and support them in atmosphere or orbit. Manueverability and flexibility mean even if the enemy holds orbit frigates can still deliver forces and support ground operations.
Destroyers - Medium warships with exceptionally thick armour intended purely as combat vessels with little capability to directly support ground operations past deploying moderate marine forces.
Basically, destroyers are just specialised frigates designed for space combat - It's more of a mission capability thing than a tonnage/armament classification.
agreed, also this reasoning can be applied to the difference between cruisers and carriers were one is more combat focused and the other is entirely utilitarian(sp)
like
Oh boy...
Do I detect a hint of sarcasm? :P
I heard you like texturing big flat surfaces, so i gave you a massive big flat surface to texture.
Favorite! This design is exactly my kind of warship :D
Awesome, keep up the good work guys :D
Awesome!
aaaaaaaaaaawwwwwww yeah
WWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWW
it is beautiful
Absolutely fantastic, like the detail in the frontal sensor array. Btw, how much longer until the next beta release?
Not sure honestly. I'll have to catch up with Zero at some point this week.
Nice. I see that little longsword there :P And I really like the way that the longswords will come out, kind of dropping down out of the ship and the righting themselves.
That looks cool. I don't see any little longsword though...
Also my dog is named Hermes. :)
