Our representation of Halo's iconic space combat in the Homeworld 2 engine, which puts the player in command of some of the most powerful weapons fielded by the UNSC and Covenant and to provide a balanced and competitive experience.
As with the Longsword, this is a very final WIP texture. It's like going through many rough drafts of an essay and getting someone to read it to correct mistakes and add suggestions.
Be sure to check out the close-up shot of the front where it shows off the scratched metal specular map that only appears in direct light, much like the brushed metal effect on the Longsword.
I really like the missile tube details, and the front portion of the bridge.
Thanks! I was really trying to emphasize detail in this shot, too. The normal maps could be better but I like how it turned out.
It might have to go, though, it's a waste of resolution if you can't see the details in game.
