I think it should be in the next build, but with Matt's computer problems i haven't seen him on xfire to send him the finished model.

What about the Heracles?

Design is too blend and ambiguous, something most of the comic designs suffer from.

That would just give you more creative freedom. Wouldn't it be better if you had established canon ships over your user created ones?

Canon is a loose term when it comes to the comics, as they're created by out-sourced artists. The newest comic shows that perfectly.

If it has the Halo logo on it, it's canon.

If anyone were to pay close attention to what Halo Legends was, you would know that specific episode is a mock spoof. All other episodes, while open to the artists to create whatever they feel conveys their story best, the content inside is considered in some areas to be non-canon while the stories themselves are canon. This is because no artist is the same.

And that destroyer design is up to the artist, who did a poor job of creating a generic design. Just because it's included in the universe doesn't mean we're going to lap it up.

The same could be said for your "Thanatos" destroyer. The logic is flawed.

Except that it's not. The Thanatos is something we've chosen to include because we like the design.

I like the design, too, but it doesn't fit UNSC design memes. It's a giant triangle instead of the giant floating boxes in space. Regardless, I like your Gorgon and I await your re-build of the Thanatos.

The large angular front is a departure from the other ships we've seen, but it still fits enough. With a few tweaks it can definitely blend in with a normal UNSC fleet if the giant angular section is broken up like the frigate's engine armour.

The thanatos has appeared in several comics, videos. It's an official ship, The design isn't new or way out the ordinary either. as for the mini-halo wars book (destroyer), remember...it's halo wars. and it doesn't fit previous descriptions of a destroyer

The "Thanatos" has only appeared in the animate comic "Midnight in the Heart of Midlothian."

I fail to see how Halo Wars could influence ship designs regardless. Previous descriptions of destroyers are so bland in the books anyways. And remember, Nylund described the Pillar of Autumn as having a command chair, when it clearly did not.

BTW the Gorgon-class Destroyer only has one MAC cannon.

very cool design, make a great heavy destroyer. shouldn't the macs be on top of each other?

Hi

I have been following this teams work on this mod for some time now, and i gota say, you have some mighty fine looking designs, especially for the UNSC. However i am concerned that with all the changing and redesigns of ships, you loose the time and effort you put into the previous versions, for example the battleship of the UNSC, current one-looks great, but so did the previous. Id just like to suggest that, if you dont do it already, keep all your model folders and 'donate' them to other Halo modders out there, as many are not limited by the amount of ships types they can have as you guys are.

But i rabble, all im saying is dont waste all your hard time and effort, let other people use it-with full credit to you fellas of course.

We do share our models with other mods, for example the old battleship and picket.

Now that.. It looks like two frigs pushed together and made a lot heavier. What class of ship is that and are there any specific details about it?

Description

The old model destroyer suped up. These will be used alongside the newer heart of midlothian style (Thanatos) destroyers.

And yes. The front is basically two frigate fronts stuck together with some heavy modification.
