Evolutions is a "Halo Wars" style mod for Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars that features epic ground and air warfare on a massive scale. Evolutions brings many instruments of war from the Halo universe to life, allowing the player to fight as the Covenant or the UNSC in epic battles based on iconic Halo locales.
This is a work in process for the Covenant faction, you are able to call in a scarab from orbit just like you encounter in Halo 3 on the level The Covenant. You are not limited to build one scarab, but they will cost allot and the cool down also take's a while.
Because I haven't showed much in a long time I thought to share this with you guys.
Friggin Sweet
Sexy
That's pretty damn impressive.
Half-expected them to do the "Wet-dog shake" the two Scarabs do when they land in the final push on The Covenant.
Holy ****, and update? And I can see you guys have made some pretty decent progress too! Keep up the great work guys!
You guys continue to impress.
If I recall correctly when they landed in halo 3 their legs were a little closer together and their bottom impacted the ground (or got pretty close) If I'm right maybe add that to the animation?
First few seconds of this video is what I mean.
Many I miss this old game. I sold my Xbox a little while back to make bills, but still have my Halo copies.
The attention to detail was just....mind blowing. Really added a wonderful depth that seems to be lacking in recent Halo games.
I don't know how well the impact thing could work, as modding a game engine restricts user ability more then having access to it. But Ya, I think having something close enough to this that is still gets the point across would be ideal.
If there was an effect that made it look like a hard impact that might do the trick.
I think is a sort of bounce animation could be added it would add a nice touch to the whole drop sequence.
Also the scarab looks a bit small, but maybe once a foot unit or smaller vehicle is next to it we might see the scaling is more accurate.
Otherwise great work so far!
