The "inspection" animations look a bit pointless and kind of cheesy.
Are those supposed to be randomized IDLE animations like in Half-Life 1?

They are not inspection animations, they're idle animations like HL1. If they seem pointless, just don't stand still for about seven seconds or so and you won't be subjected to them :)

what do you have against inspect animations? they are entirely optional. if they bother you just don't press the key assigned to the action, simple as that. i personally think they are great and work much better than animations triggered by long idle behavior. had a great time with them in Killing Floor 2

But they're not optional. These trigger on their own timer, without waiting for any button to be pushed. To be precise, you *can* assign them to a button, but even if you don't, they happen on their own. I'm not sure if "standing still" supposed to affect them, I'm pretty sure they happened even when I was running around with little pause.

And two of them stand aside in a certain way. The SMG anim has the loud squeak which can get old after a while, but alright. Then the pistol anim crosses the center of the screen and can be there for a short time, which can affect your gameplay and aiming, this is speaking from personal experience.

I like the extra details you put in some of the weapon animations like the MP7 scope clean and the stun baton zap.

By beta AR2 you mean OICW? You can find a video of it displaying fidget animations. As well as being present in the hands of soldiers in Divison 1. Alien Assassin is a maybe and the Elite Metrocop is already in Division 1.

Animations are nice, but they lack of empty_reload/not_empty_reload types of animations. Like pistol must not open chamber when you reload it.

And for what reason grenade stapple (safety lever or whatever it in english) does not fly away when gordon pull the pin?

If you mean the safety pin, it actually does fly off onto the ground. It's very hard to find it though since it's tiny.

In real world if you don't hold handle and you pull the pin - grenade will start ticking it's 3 secs to explosion. So you need to hold grenade handle in your animation or change grenade behaviour to start ticking after pin pulled.
