Alright, let's be honest here. I am a masochistic fetishist who addicted to online First Person Shooters. I like zombie games, japanese danmaku shooting games "Touhou Project" and playing various online and singleplayer games. I like working with sound in games, but unfortunately I'm not pro. Sometimes I waste my time in Source SDK in hopes to create something really nice. I have some experience in Hammer Editor, but I still suck at optimizing. At this moment I'm messing around with the custom maps for game Contagion and working on improvement of my mapping skills on Source Engine. (Edit 14.10.15). [ 31% More embarrassing truth now! Yay! ]
Not sure if anyone cares, but well... If you will take a look on some screenshots that I was posting lately you will see what I was doing. Like many other people I gave up pretty quick. It doesn't mean that I just abandoned this little project completely. It started like small experiment on porting map from Contagion to ZPS but ended up with badly ported map with poor gameplay and overall view. I will completely move to Contagion now. This isn't good time to make custom maps for ZPS to be honest. Plus porting the huge Police Station map from Contagion to ZPS was a bad idea because this map was designed to be played with NPCs, but not Players Vs Players... Also porting assets took a lot of time. Although it looked pretty great so far it had one problem. The problem is that the fully compiled BSP with all assets packed inside has rediculously big size which is bad news for players.
I'm done with this map port for ZPS. But now I've got something more interesting. In early August I obtained old beta build of Contagion where I found old version of Roanoke PD with old scripting system, assets and other interesting stuff. This is what forced me to do what I wanted to do many years since I saw early gameplay of Contagion in 2011. I liked the original design of Roanoke PD map. But it was completely changed on final release. So here is the new project. I will attempt to restore old design of Roanoke PD shown in 2011/2012. So basically I am still just messing around with the maps.
