Arrangement is a single player, total conversion for Half-Life 1, on development. Mod is divided on missions based upon real scenarios, realistic AI behaviour for both enemies and allies, incredible graphical effects and tactical gameplay.
Almost like a week ago, I posted a video here, on ModDB, about a new feature, weapon customization. For unknow reason, the video never appeared. While I was cooking up some theories about conspiracy and such, I decided to upload a new video.

Sorry about the laggyness (is that a word?) I am not that good at recording videos. Notice also that the level, 2D & 3D art and codingĀ are WIPs and could change.
I wanted to thank GhostSoldier for working on the body parts, and the rest of the guys who helped me on the making process.
Mod is still alive and kicking. The development is going absolutely great, but we still need voice actors! So, if you have a microphone around, ask a friend, your daddy, your sister, etc. Doesn't need to be 'actors'. As long as the lines sounds okay, I don't have problems :)
Peace out.

i dont understand why people are creating content on the Goldsource engine anymore...
But it looks really fantastic.
I think some people get a thrill out of pushing Goldsource to it's limits and beyond, rather then on Source which can handle a lot more.
hey dont rank this post down its a good question and the answer fits 100%
Answer 1:Because it's a great engine.
Answer 2:Because they CAN.
Well IMHO it's not a "great" engine, but it's easy for new modders to use. Mapping is extremely difficult in HL1 compared to newer engines (especially with terrain), and I believe coding is very difficult too.
SysOp however is an extremely talented HL1 modder - I can certainly tell you that his work on AM surpasses any of the official HL1 releases! He is one of the few people who is capable of really pushing the HL1 engine.
Yeah, tell me about it. Terrain is a holy pain in the ass. I did sweat blood when making these cliffs for my map.
Awwwwwww, I love you. You have nice skills as well and people knows that.
Because some people thinks Gameplay > Engine :]
Stubby = idiot
Well... HL's engine was okay ten years ago, but since the games started to 'evolve', it's normal for us to find it cheap.
If we compare it with some other games back then, we could say the tools used for modding HL's engine were... too basic. No built-in terrain generation, no real-time preview for level editors, and I could stay all day long talking about contras...
Being a simple engine makes modding... easier. The only drawback is the final product. You can't create a mod with awesome graphics or features without coding 'em up from scratch. In those cases, switching engines becomes handy.
The feature I did has nothing to do with the engine. I used VGUI for input detection, but it could be done on any engine you want.
Thanks for your comment!
Well because modders choose whatever engine they want to work on?
Damn straight
Indeed, choosing engine due to age is quite silly.
1) is really easy to mod, there are mods with no new models, code, or sounds only maps and if this are good the gameplay is fun
2)if this is oldy and primitive you had a lot of things to do, for improve it, anyone can put some bumpingmap in a map of HL2 but for half-life1 peoples from different countrys had to learn, research, and code it! theres only 2 codes for bumping map in HL1, the ValveERC(I dont remember the autor) and the Paranoia from buzzer.
You know if Valve release the complete code of HL1, SourceEngine will die! Check half-life FX of the russian, excellent load of graphics stuff, but without all the code its laggy.
3)Great ideas for free, you know quality doesent mean graphics, check mods like firearms, counterstrike, svencoop, the specialist! awsome mods with excellent gameplay, they done a hard work on code not for graphic improvement else to had a gameplay improvement!
Totaly agreeing with you...
Maybe its easy...
OMG HOLY SH*T!!! That was pure awesome!
the mp5 is f.c.k.n.g. amazing
O_O
Is not an MP5, it's a FAMAE, actually.
I gotta say myself, i too wonder why people choose the old gold source over new source, but in my opinion, i actualy like whts being done with the old engines, even quake engine pushed to limits with DarkPlaces, its rather fascinating to see how some do awsum stuff with ol goldsource =] keep it up guys
it's looks very nice, but you have to know that a silencer is suppose to make the weapon silence. The bullet flying out doesn't make any noise at all. The only thing you will be able to hear in real life is the slide coming back and hitting the front of the gun.
Accually no bullets do make noise if you have a suppressed weapon with sonic ammo thats where most of the sound comes from the bullet hitting sonic and making a sound boom but to avoid that you use sub-sonic ammo so it does not make a sonic boom along with a suppressor then you have absolute silence
It also depends on the calibre used. .22 silenced makes pretty much no noise, 5.56 silenced makes a little noise, 9mm makes a lot of noise.
Actually.. I have fired a silenced Mp5 before (which is a 9mm) and the only sound I could hear was the empty casings hitting the floor. Alllsoooo I read that you had a problem recording the video smoothly. If you want I could hook you up with a smooth high-quality video, send me a PM.
This looks like crisis on the goldsrc engine! :D
That's what I was thinking :p
Outstanding work as always :D
Goddamn this looks f'n nice.
This is AWESOME!
Dead goddamn sexy
I don't think this is bad at all for using Goldsource at all.
So cool. This is going to rock.
WOW.... you're doing great things with this engine!
