Update #12

October 1st, 2010

You spoke, and we listened. For quite a while (since b2.0) there has been a particularly nasty crash lurking. Earlier in the week, the cause of the crash was identified, and it was fixed. Expect to be able to play a full match against bots, among the numerous other fixes and features in 2.0.2. A full list of patch notes will be placed later on in the news update.

We also heard you when you said that you wanted the extra gametypes in the "Create A Server" menu. In case for some ridiculous reason that you don't believe us, or want to see the change for yourself, we have a screenshot added to the media section of the mod. Check it out.

We also heard that assists needed to be fixed. So we got on top of that issue, and fixed it. Another thing off the mighty to-do list of Gunslinger's Academy. Expect bigger and better soon.

Pande is also changing courses, and is now working on the Flashbang and TASER Stun Gun skins. Pande is also the resident weapon modeler over at Jedi Knight Galaxies.

Now, as-per usual Friday Update postings, we present the best of this week's work last. This week, the best thing we have to show you is totally unique to our mod. What is that, you may ask? Well, we managed to raise the custom sound cap (such as, each player model is limited to 3 death sounds, etc.) on all soundsets to be higher. The best part of this is that it automatically detects how many of each sound you have, so you won't hear generic sounds ("Take That!" taunt, anyone?), and you can add almost as many as you want (as long as the engine can handle all the sounds).

If you like the mod, I strongly recommend that you track the mod. Have a happy Friday (and a happy homecoming week to some Jays out there), this is eezstreet, signing off.
