btw, how many polys in there?
one hand+sleeve has around 2k polys, so pair of hands is aroud 4k polys comparing to OBM which pair of hands has 6k+ polys

A tip for improvements:
1. The sleeves of his shirt are wrapped around Calhoun's arm tightly, give his poor wrist some space to breath!
2. We can see his blood vessels popping out of his hand literally, not what I expect from a young man.
3. I think you overdid the wrinkles in the joints of his fingers, deep wrinkles gives the impression that he's a man in his 40s, which is not what I think Calhoun is in fact. Try giving him light wrinkles on those areas.
I'd probably agree on the sleeves being slightly tight, but his veins are PERFECT!
In fact, you'd be right about young man's hands in every situation; with only two exceptions that both coincidentally apply being in Black Mesa!
Young men's hands DO only show their bloods vessels when increased circulation occurs in the hands; this is when the man is either;
1- doing a lot of active physical activity with his hands and arms (including constantly gripping a gun)
2- under a great amount of adrenaline-inducing FEAR!
Or, of course, there could be;
3- Wierd radiation poisoning???
4- special tricks, if you are a professional hand model!
Guys you're supposed to be working, not taking photos of your own hands!
