Gothic 2 - Requiem features a whole new weapon skill system, new forging system, new quests, new characters, new textures, new weapons and armor, improved AI, new & tweaked monsters and much much more!
Have a look at the full game. New shield stance (for masters), dynamic music and whatnot. Also a FUCKING AWESOME BOSSFIGHT, AIN'T IT?
One word : nerdgasm
Raven: Soul of cinder :D
Great boss, but the music seems too loud.
You guys like the ultimate shield stance? :)
Holy crap.
It looks so much better than original fight...
Raven's sword no longer hits with lightning bolts :v ?
I assume he uses it as a one handed sword for mostly difficulty purposes?
I dont recall him wielding a 2h in Gothic 1
Indeed it's just that the Claw of Beliar suits better as a two handed sword imo no problem man just as long as we can use it as a two hander.
Afaik the claw "adapts" to you. If youre more skilled with 1h its 1h, otherwise 2h.
Of course Vic7im, and I strongly believe, that most people here are pro higher difficulty for Raven. The point is just, that he is wearing the claw on his back. Therefore everyone believes, he is using it as a 2h, not as 1h.
On the other side, it is possible to think: "The claw is a fuc*king boss weapon and Beliar made it very light weight, so man can handle it as a 1h, even if it's long enough for a 2h."
I agree it should in my opinion it should be a 2h sword it looks far too long to be used the way he is doing it.
Now this is a boss battle! Very nice!
So damn epic :D
Just another suggestion maybe there should be some kind of dark effect when you hit him instead of the bones coming off him?
All looks nice, animations too but why you made him block like that, it's totally wrong. I mean, he should use this shield vertical and not horizontal and i'm surpized none metnioned that (??).
Its not wrong at all... it depends on the preference of the fighter. They were used both ways. The normans used the normal grip on their large teardrop shields, while later (as in better teck and ideas) riders started using the angled straps as it offered more strenght, stability and didn't encumber during a mounted fight. Guess what a Knight was mostly... yep... a mounted fighter, thus it makes sense.
Besides, it offers more control in blocking (less chance for the shield to woble when hit) during a fight. And imagine that! Its easier to use the shield as a bludgeoning weapon when held with Victim's strap. Offers more strenght when doing that, as you basically punch with the shield using your hole weight rather than just push using only your shoulder and pectoral muscles.
