Ahoy landlubbers!

I'm having quite some trouble trying to work on the mod on my own, mostly because I don't have time to do all the things that I would like/love to add. A BIG thing are QUESTS.


I need help. Seriosuly, It's getting overwhelming here doing all the stuff alone.

But Vic7im, how can we help you???


Well it's quite simple. I've found a little program called Easy Dialog Maker (EDM from now on) that hastens the whole questing process by a LOT. The only problem is that (big surprise) I don't have time to sit down and work not even for an hour straight on this mod (not at the moment, at least).

That's why I'm doing tutorial videos on how to use this program along with an english translation of the EDM itself to make quest creation as easy as eating a potato chip.

That's when you, reader, come in.

I'm looking for people that know how to TYPE ON A KEYBOARD and FOLLOW VIDEO INSTRUCTIONS.

No programming knowledge needed, just some time to spare, the love for Gothic and this mod, and the CREATIVITY to create unique dialogues "a la Gothic", following your quest ideas or mine (got almost 50 quests done "on paper" that need dialogues)

I can't stress enough how HUGE your contributions will be with just a few minutes of your time. I'll be posting a tutorial video shortly showing how easy is to create a simple "fetch this Item for me" Quest.

Updated roadmap to the gameplay release:
Add stances (1h/2h/dual/dex/axes/spears/shields) to hero/npcs and check if theyre kept between worlds/save-loads
Add items and armors to npcs
Add relevant npcs
Add magic runes/spells
Add shield bash feature (more on final release)
Add staves + magic staves
Add monster AI and check for crashes
Add trainers for shields/dualwield/dex weapons
Tweak all items
Finish scripting the prologue

Bugtest (ill prolly leave you to that)

If you're at aesthetics now, what do you think on a "blood moon", a red colored moon? Have something mystic in it, don't you think?

If to be considered, which would be cool,it should only be a rather rare thing (once in a month or something). Else it should be tied to some event or quest. In my opinion having a blood moon every night would be a bit over the top.

Now to think of it, it depends on the color of the sun, who says that the world of Gothic have a yellow sun? Can be orange,blue,red stars varies in color

Took a REALLY long time, but I AM DONE modifying militia/paladin armors.

I wanted to thank GothicManiac for the helpful insight over design and aesthetics. I'm really satisfied with the results, and a video is uploading as I'm writing this.

GothicManiac: Sorry mate but I couldn't manage to replicate the armors, hope that you're fine with these :)

Vic7im You're welcome m8! I was happy to help you any way i could!

Allow me just to make some observations: 1st, Do not use that helm on Wulfgar cause by no means can fit the medieval style of the armor he wears and the game in general. That's a Roman styled helm. In the mods i gave you there is a helm design for that set which has open face and can see the named npc's face.
2nd, About Lord Haagen's set, as i've told you in the past, i love what you did but personally i would prefer to have steel textures in all parts instead of that red colour. Too fancy..)) And ofc, helms on to all knight pala npc's, like in vanilla game.

p.s. Too bad you were not able to replicate those armors but again, what you have is amazing too and ofc i'm fine with that! Ofcourse the case here was never for me to be happy, but for you to have the best possible result! :) What about the weapons and shields? You were not able to use them either?

Vic7im, when you have time, can you please add in the description of the mod a more detailed description with what you've been done, what remains to be done ...
It has been so many trials on your mod, you add so much and then remove them, and so on ...
Per example, I totally forgot about the assassination and knock down with blackjack until I seen again the movies.
If making excuses for thieving is a thing, same as Returning, than maybe NH should learn rhetoric, as per Returning?

Nah **** rhetoric, no amount of smooth talk is going to save you <3

I'm planning to add a visual thing when you can/can't do stuff, especially when using the blackjack/assassin dagger, in a "Press F to pay respects" kind of way.

In the end what you decide about sprint, only 10 seconds or it scales with level, lets' say one more second every one/two levels?

You should be able to sprint for 15-20 seconds. It won't scale.
