SCENARIO In "Get a Life" you embody Alexander Zemlinsky, a subway technician suffering from leukaemia. Alex is not, unlike the protagonists in most games, an invincible super-soldier. But you wouldn't call him normal either, because there is something in his past that connects him with the events that are about to happen in the course of the story (we want to keep the suspense, so nothing more on that...). FEATURES * GaL will run on the latest version of the Source Engine, so that means you'll see HDR and the enhanced shadow system (as seen in HL2: Episode 1) in "Get a Life" as well * To give the player the best gaming experience possible, GaL will offer a custom HUD, an innovative healing system with several damage zones, drugs that will trigger a "bullet-time" effect, upgradeable weapons and enhanced enemy AI * About 11 hours of gameplay * 24 maps with varied environments * 61 characters * 13 weapons

Judging on the votes, people seem to agree with me :P
Oh, and even if the deagl is "cliché"
What's wrong with it?
I've always wanted .50 CAL in a portable gun, there it is!
That aside, would you rather have a glock 9MM?
Don't think so.

The one in GaL seems to be a .357 Magnum Desert Eagle.

If I'm going to pick a pistol it's not going to be some crappy 9MM or overused Deagle. Give me the good old Colt .45 any day of the week. Sometimes the oldies are the best.

Yeah, but that's because the guy didn't change the ammo type, because, well, he seemed to be lazy in certain parts of the mod :P
Or at least, the team. And, why don't you want a gun if it's overused? Effectiveness counts, D'oh, you kill things and people, not flash 'em your awesomeness.

I'd go with a couple of silenced high grade pistols with low recoil, as well as an automated clip dispensing system on my belt for one handed reload that way I can keep shooting one gun while reloading the other.

actually a glock 9mm would be a better choice the recoil is huge on the Desert Eagle, and minimal on glock 9mm,and for those who don't know the Desert eagle .50 fires .50 action express rounds not .50 rifle rounds, and glock 9mm's cost $1,000 dollars less than a .50AE Desert Eagle.

The IMI forces prefer a 9MM Glock. Why is this? That's great that your Desert Eagle can take down most body armor with one shot, but can you bring the weapon down from recoil fast enough to take out the six guys behind the one you just blew up? The DEagle is fun, and awesome, but combat ineffective. A Glock is lighter and therefore easier to maneuver, more accurate, has less recoil, and carries more ammo. You can use the argument that a .50 AE can defeat most body armor in one shot, but IMI is trained to use 'double tap' with their 9MMs. The first shot defeats the body armor, breaking the ceramic plate into shards, and the second shot hits the target in the chest, penetrating deep and causing death.
