This mod is about strategy, resource management and map control. It has the following features: - Unique weapon system that forces you to adapt to your enemy tactics. - The unique gameplay for each of 9 races. Playing the Inquisition is very different, than playing orks. - The cost and squad/support caps of all units now depend on their power so a squad of terminators will be much more expensive than the squad of tactical marines. But it may be much more effective... - Low tiers are now has extremely important, because you will need a strong economics to step into tier2 or tier3. - A lot of new models, some of those were made especially for this mod. The mod is still in beta and has some placeholders (like chaos Hellbrute or tau Riptide). Stay tuned for new patches and releases.

Post any SCAR or AI error logs here. Instruction:
If you have found a bug like "Fatal Scar Error - Excecution Paused!" or "Fatal AI Error: Execution Paused", please follow those steps:1. Close your Soulstorm.2. Go to your Soulstorm folder.3. Go to Logfiles folder and find a folder thats name corresponds with a date and time you run a game (last one if you do that immidiately after the bug occured).4. Post files ailog.txt and scarlog.txt or its contents here
Difficulty is discussed in another thread.
There are some flows with teamcolour on units like terminators, wraithlord or stompa (that thing is transparent), they will be fixed in the release version.

I've started the campaign, first doing all the missions in Normal (begginer level I guess).

- MSO1
nothing

- MSO2
nothing

- MSO3
orks don't really attack the base, but only run. So it's really easy to kill them without having any death at our side.

- MS04
whirlwind isn't available. I think that's specific to the mod (because we can build Land Speeder), but can you confirm it ?

just to say that there is no mission called MSO5 : after MS04 you just do MS06 ^^

- MS06

Yeah, I can't edit the speech, so it says whirlwinds, but the land speeders are the one beign unlocked. Whirlwind is t4, so you won't be able to build them until mission 8 either.

Yeah, I don't edit loading screen names yet, so there is 2 MS06. First one is rather easy (just target the gates, not the infantry). The second one is much harder if you are not fast enought to complete it in less than 20 minutes.

I will see that I can do. The units must attackmove your position, but they somehow just go straight to your base and play there.
Overall, I suggest playing on a harder level. But some players have problems with mission 4 even on easy (normal).

Thats strange. Do you save\load the game? But made a hack that will ensure that bug will not occure any more. Here is a file: Dl.dropboxusercontent.com
Place it to Soulstorm\Galaxy_in_Fire_Reloaded\DataCampaign\scenarios\sp (replace exciting file) and restart the mission (don't load save). It is important, or it can become unbeatable.

The last mission was completly mad. I also played it in Normal.

There are 2 Chaos base in this mission, and while I was destroying one, the other attacked my ally eldar and destroy. In normal, i don't think it should happpend.
I was early attacked by a Duke of Change, that almost destroyed me all of my 6 SM squad (I had only 6 brothers left), but my dread killed him !

Then, I decided to attack the Chaos Base, and the Flamers of Helledrake killed again all of my troops. I recognize this weapon works well !

But the most stupid thing of this game, is that my Dread, which had lost half of his life, killed by himself the Daemon Prince !! I insist on this point, because I remember that when I did this mission on normal DoW, the Deamon Prince was much more difficult to kill.
So, is it normal ?

I will see if I have time to do it in another difficulty, but I'm not sure I'll have the time to. Holidays ends.

Thats the last mission, so it is completely normal to be hard. Yes, there are 2 enemy AIs in this mission, but one of them starts at tier1 and can be destroyed with ease with you starting squads of marines. When I played this mission on Insane (AI is progressing much faster in this case), I send a dreadnought to protect eldar (don't know why I protect those aliens), purchase t2 immediately and go to kill t1 chaos (it is in the left corner of the map). You need several plasmas, because of the posessed. Wnen you destroy t1 chaos, the eldar will be attacked by other chaos, but it will give you time to get some t3 units. Helldrake's baleflamer is a tier3 weapon, so you won't meet it too early. Lord of Change on normal is the same as multiplayer one, but on Insane he has 3 times more hp and 2 times faster ability reload (so it will be 1.5 minutes between warp-storms). DP has 2 times more hp and damage on normal, 5 times on hard and 10 times on insane. And it is invulnurable, unless there is a Gabriel around. Maybe on normal, you can just walk with you starting dreadnought and FC to the DP and kill him (I hadn't checked that).

I don't remember I Gabriel was around, be cause Helldrake's killed evrything. Maybe not.
