Since the 2020 Retail launch the 2011 release was renamed to: G STRING - BETA and in the future the G STRING - ULTIMATE EDITION is coming. Also don't be confused about the "Developer: LunchHouse Software" part. This is the G String Beta you are looking for, the one made by Eyaura. The display was changed because LunchHouse helped me a lot in publishing the game and this will help us both in promoting our work. Which reminds me: they're making PUNT! Go check it out! Since there is no way to list this on MODDB like on Steam (Developer: Eyaura, Publisher: LunchHouse Software) this is the best solution. Thanks and have fun!

Description

Well, just a sign of life here... nothing special... Work is being done. I feel bad every time I do an update cause I know you want a release date at least and you are absolutely right. It's been another 5 years.

And that is the main reason this time there won't be so many epic update monologues like the months leading up to the 2011 release. I bet some of you remember those. :)

No time for that now. Loads of mapping awaits and loads has been done. I am working super hard. Nothing concrete yet but it's coming. God willing it's coming. A massive portion of the mod is done somewhere around 80% all work included.

As far as mapping alone I am somewhere around 70% done. As earlier this year I will again resists the urge to release episodic content and ask for you to wait for the whole thing.

I should not be so apologetic about this as even big games with dozens or hundreds of people working on them can take years (cough insert HL3 joke here)... But I know 5 years is a long time.

Doing dozens of source maps alone takes time lol... anyone who dabbled in the sourcesdk will agree vehemently. The worst thing is you can't check things on the fly and you have to compile so often... outdated approach but this mod will have to be completed with these tools...

In any case I doing my best to take my time and keep up the quality and also hurry it up. It's a delicate balancing act but I must get it right this time. In the meantime there's always the beta. :D
