Since the 2020 Retail launch the 2011 release was renamed to: G STRING - BETA and in the future the G STRING - ULTIMATE EDITION is coming. Also don't be confused about the "Developer: LunchHouse Software" part. This is the G String Beta you are looking for, the one made by Eyaura. The display was changed because LunchHouse helped me a lot in publishing the game and this will help us both in promoting our work. Which reminds me: they're making PUNT! Go check it out! Since there is no way to list this on MODDB like on Steam (Developer: Eyaura, Publisher: LunchHouse Software) this is the best solution. Thanks and have fun!

Description

Well here are the first side by side comparison shots between v1 and v2. I'd like to share them now so you can tell me if you like the direction the project is going into.

About one third of the mod has been updated as of now. I'd like your input before I go further. The more I update the more time consuming it would be to go back and change stuff.

Obviously there will be a bit more detail in the geometry but most change consists in better lighting and the addition of various post processing shaders. I can tweak the lighting now because it doesn't take forever to compile a map in vrad.

So there will be more contrast and a bit more color. A subtle orange color correction is in effect as well. Although I can't take advantage of the particle editor I am doing my best to make the weather/explosion/etc effects look updated.

Most new shaders can be adjusted/switched on or off, the screen shots show everything in maxed out settings.

Of course there are gameplay elements added/tweaked also, especially in the first third but I can't illustrate those well in still shots. I will do that in teaser videos later on.
