The number of dead mods for EaW/Foc is staggering. I recently searched thru moddb's eaw and foc mods. At least half were dead, and that's not including the archived ones (Archived mods don't appear in searches or any links within ModDB, only findable as far as I know by actually typing in their ModDB page's URL.) The problem usually is that the modding team gets too busy with life and mod progress slows to a crawl before they finally give up. Mods made by a single person tend to not die easy, but slow down a lot, so it's looking good for this mod.
Well I just fully read the mod summary, guess Filo didn't do it completely by himself, but it looks like he doesn't have a formal team (or by help, do you mean they help you all the time like a team Filo?), so still looking good for this mod.
