Freeworlds: Tides of War is a fan built Star Wars total conversion mod for Digital Anvil's Freelancer game that was released several years ago. When fans began to make mods for Freelancer, one of the many things people were keen on seeing was a Freelancer mod based on the Star Wars universe developed by George Lucas. Freeworlds and Tides of War were the answer to this outcry. The development team of both mods have now joined forces to create an epic new Star Wars TC, Freeworlds: Tides of War.
Model: Sizer
Texture: Bouma
This is our new remake of an old model of ours at FW:ToW. It was made using this Starwars.wikia.com as its reference point.

Thats....actually realy ugly. A first for Freeworlds!
Fail to see how this K-Wing is an ugly model considering it's pretty similar to the one in canon, and to what I think looks better.
But everyone has their opinion.
Have you not seen the hybrid ships?!
K-Wing is a Bomber type right?
Yes, atleast in Canon.
The role that it plays in 2.0 is a Heavy Patrol Ship, which effectively is a Super Heavy Bomber.
Ya, as Rogue mentioned, it's a heavy patrol bombers. These are our beast starfighters with a ton of shield/hull and ammo but poor maneuverability. However, it's not defenseless as it as a 360 degree turret. All patrol boats have that type of turret.
"We're the heavy hitters. When you need a command bridge leveled or a convoy of tanks wiped out, the K-wings get the call." -Miranda Doni at Doornik-319
Good Grief. After seeing the bombing system demonstration video, I can't wait to go ship-hunting. Imagine being the commander of an Imperial Frigate, floating around like a boss, when suddenly a group of fighters and K-wings comes screaming out of hyperspace and starts tearing you to pieces with heavy rockets...
Oh, and one more thing: any chance of seeing the topside turret added?
