Alliance are a serie of different mods. On the Star Wars GC, you can play the civil war Empire vs Rebel era + Black Sun and soon the Republic and CIS.
One new addition, a new defense system, depending from tech levels Rebels and Empire will build the LNR-I or the LNR-II, both systems will add a V-150 planetary ion gun. The old hypervelocity gun will be used only with the hypervelocity space station, of course the iongun space station will continue being builded, it will be your choice.
This new weapons can destroy hardpoints from ships and at same time disable them.
Mmm, not from hater to hater hey, but from modder to modder, what's the point of disabling a hardpoint and destroy it at the same time?
I think the V-150 planetary ion gun will simple just disable the ship whilst the Planetary Turbolaser inflicts damage on the hard points. I take it the LNR-II series turbolaser will inflict twice the damage of the LNR-I series turbolaser and will come with a far higher price tag?
Many starships can support more of one fire from the turbolaser and if they are at movement they can not be targeted easily. The iongun disables engines.
Yes the LNR-II is more powerful than the LNR-I but it has not a higher cost because it replaces the first.
Of course all this can change because perhaps I make it different.
But........you have not seen everything from them......there is a surprise.;)

I have made a change with these weapons, there will be three for each side, by example, Rebels will have the Iongun, LNR-I and LNR-II. Each one of them come with a different tech level.
