I'll join in. Do you're base block out pass with your (non-func_detail) primitives and optimising brushs, then do a quick lighting pass with basic lighting and do some quick lightmap adjusting. Next to a detail pass, add some models (for the lights and major features), add some func_details, add your cubemaps, add your textures and align them. Recalibrate your lightmaps where neccesary (don't forget to add lightmaps to smoothing groups where appropriate). Now do another detail pass simply adding more detail and building more cubemaps, recalibrate your lightmaps again... repeat! Don't forget to use your visgroups.
I noticed that every1 hasn't been giving any constructive criticism. So i will give you some tips. To get rid of those grey shades on all the weapons and objects use env_cubemap These are very useful and when your in the game you will type buildcubemaps IN THE CONSOLE. This will get rid of the shades of grey. Don't take screenshots of fps banana models, nobody really likes to see that. If your doing indoor areas look at some real life hospital pictures on Google or something and then replicate it. And lastly. Dont make your rooms mega big. I hope this helps
Do you know what an env_cubemap is?
yes.... and ive been using it <.<
Have you typed "buildcubemaps" in console to fix it?
Also are you compiling with HDR for Orange box engine or EP1 engine?
If you're going to post something, post something that is yours, not a bunch of models that you found on FPSbanana or some other site. Learn to make something of your own, don't go and post pics of content that was stolen.
In my honest opinion, it's quite a shame to see so many mods lately with a large amount of content stolen, no originality, nothing custom, it's just a bunch of people who think it's cool to go around and trying to fit into the community by posting images of stolen content.
For a mod to try and succeed but in the end die is one thing, but doing what you have done is a whole other step.
fine, you do have a point there, i updated all the screen shots and the only things that are staying are the ones that i HAVE permission to use, and everything else but the weapons is original (except all the stuff from valve, of course)
Well, if you do have permission, please ignore what I posted on one of the images. If not, let the flame war begin.
Yeah man +1
Please people need nice screenshots.. here it's bad screenshots !
flame all you want about the ******* weapons, ill find someone to make them for me, right now they are just there because regular hl2 weapons are boring
and ive got some scenes scripted out that you are going to **** yourself in
