"Stand Humans, Your Final Battle Has Begun" Seven students from the The University of Salford have undertaken an ambitious project to create a total conversion of Far Cry. First Contact: Planetfall is a First Person Sci-Fi action adventure game dropping players into a fully realised alien world teeming with strange creatures and threatening alien enemies. Players must survive in this hostile alien environment while discovering a secret plot, buried beneath the surface of the planet that could spell the end of the human race. The Shark in a Cube Mod team includes Will Evans, Toby Everett, Mike Bird, Mike Roberts, Jenny Rathbone, Martin Palmer and James Boorer. 'When Dr. Lucy Rhea, an expert in alien biological chemistry becomes the lone survivor in the crash landing of her recon teams’ drop ship, the uncharted planet of Hestia ceases to be just another research project. It becomes a new and dangerous world that Dr. Rhea must survive in order to deliver crucial information...

The FarCry Total Conversion modification from seven students of the University of Salford is now ready to be played by the world. In development for 7 months from concept to final version, this mod is not your traditional FPS.
Take control of bio-chemical scientist Lucy Rhea as part of the Extra-terrestrial Reconnaissance Authority (ETRA). On a routine mission to the planet designated "Hestia" all dropships mysteriously lose control and crash land on the planet.
With the environment constantly draining the power from your hazard suit, you must always progress and seek out sources of power, while also attempting to find out what caused the dropships to crash.

Either I need a new prescription for my eyeglasses or the graphics are really fuzzy in this mod. I think they did that deliberately for 'atmosphere' but it would drive me nuts!

very cool mod. The setting is very different than most out there. Almost myst like. If you are expecting a shooter, think again. but there is some fun puzzle solving and and lots of exploration.
