!! 2.5 is finally out and it's a relief. Ryell (fof lead) has been working daily on the thing for months adding new weapons and COOP play, it's a lot of fun. Pre-version 2.0 we gained some really good talent to our little team in the animation and modelling depts. So our envs have nicer props, detailed textures and weapons have much improved animations.
As sound designer on the project I've mainly been tweaking soundscapes, adding sounds for fire, ricochets, bullet near-miss, processing voice work, new weapon fires and gameplay sounds. So it's been a lot of work and A LOT of tweaking. Luckily we have a really cosy community that has helped test all the changes and provide some really good ideas to progress the mod.
As it stands now, FoF is way more 'fun' than the original release. Some players won't like the deviation from realism, most will love it. One hopes anyway :)
