Far Cry 2010 Chapter 1 Mod
Aug 3, 2011 Full Version 18 commentsFar Cry 2010 Chapter 1 is the final version of the first three levels remastered
Greetings to everyone!
Far Cry 2010 is a graphics mod for CryTek's masterpiece FarCry. This project started in April 2010 with the intention of improving graphics in all single-player campaign levels. Naturally we will remain with Far Cry's established CryEngine. Yet Far Cry 2010 does not only improve textures and applies some other minor changes like it has been seen in so many minor mods since 2004, but it aims to overhaul each and every level. This means that each level (map) will be genuinely rebuilt with amazing graphics.
Here's a short overview of the planned changes:

There will be no significant changes in script and AI (almost close to perfection).
I will take great care in trying to conserve the authentic Far Cry feeling.

Greetings to everyone,

After several months off on the mod (the changes in my personal life). I am currently in the ability to resume work on Far Cry 2010 that keeps me always at heart, but also to many of you fans and Far Cry. I should soon complete the level and proceed to Pier two more levels to complete the following Chapter 2. I hope to release this final chapter for this year-end 2012.
See you soon!

How many chapters are there actually in FarCry?
Where is chapter 2 of Farcry 2010? Is the Farcry 2010 Project dead?

Also what I think FarCry desperately needs is some world shadowmaps for the jungle, rather than the fake ****** lightmaps, that alone would boost the visuals 100%.
Prohibiting usage of copyrighted content on non officially copyrighted products is retarded to say the least, it's purposely trying to manipulate user-end actions to the innermost insignificant purposes for no apparent reason.
I say trying because these laws are only dependent on the user's good courtesy, they can't actually do anything if someone decides to use that content anyway. If you ask me, I even encourage to use Crysis models and not give a f*ck about these annoying rules.
I'm having some kind of weird bug. The mod runs perfectly fine but my ground textures are extremely blurred!
I'm only able to see the textures on "low" settings:

This is how it looks like on any other setting:

I'm using the Steam version of Far Cry and I'm using Windows 7 64bit.
Solved it. Had to tweak the graphics settings a bit, but I can't tell what caused it. (And yes, my Lighting Quality was set to Very High.)
How's the mod going, Didjay? :)
oh thanks... then thats why i got so many views...
