Fall up is a FPS Puzzler* involving a new mechanic Gravity which allows you to control your localized gravity enabling you to walk on any surface.You take the role of Salad Becker**, who wakes up in an unknown place. Love the concept. I think a particle effect at the end of the pointer will be much better then a bullets/gun. I can't wait to see more of this, looking forward to it. :)
unfortunately where using an the source 2007 engine meaning we don't get the nice particle system from ep2, but it don't mean it can't be hard coded - also I'm not the programmer...

Assuming this is a joke post? The particle editor is definitely there.
Once upon a time, EP2, TF2, Portal and the SDK base used the same engine version. All the particle systems use the same version meaning you can port, experiment and edit particles from any game shipped with The Orange Box.
Maybe you can play with a laser dot like the RPG first? It would remove the need of a view model. :)
