This mod is set in Games Workshop's, great Warhammer 40,000 ( 40k ) universe. Each map pits Imperial Space Marines against the Tyranid swarm and the Legions of Chaos, competing in a series of mission objectives, culminating in a battle to decide the fate of the planet. Under an omnious sky, darkened with tyranic spore an imperial Thunderhawk gunship has crasheed, right in the path of the advancing tyranid swarm. The crash survivors only hope is to find a way to escape from the oncoming hoard before they a overwhelmed.
This screenshot shows the marine start point for the map ex_thunderhawk one of the few maps where it is the Tyranids role to defend and hold, while the marines must push through their objectives against a deadline.
