The Eternal Silence 3.0 trailer is finally done, in it is our final release date. Digg It!
The trailer is available as a stream from ModDB. High resolution version is also available for download from FileSwap.
The Eternal Silence 3.0 dedicated server will be available Sunday. We're also running some very exciting events with the press this week and we will be posting previews and interviews as they come in. 3.0 is not far now!

I hear the trailer is made completely from in-game footage, even the end scene...
Yup, I've played the preview build and that's what it looks like. Although the last scene is probably put together especially for the trailer, the rest can be achieved through gameplay.
Sweet gameplay! I'm not too keen on the music, though.
We tried to use Rage Against the Machine but Sony wouldn't let us so this is a quick composition.

My only gripe with that trailer is that it didn't have any footage that shows gameplay from the player's view. Some brief clips from the first-person HUD or the cockpit view really should have been included, because there might be a few people out there thinking this game is a third-person shooter, or even a single-player game given the scripted-looking movements of the soldiers.
For anyone reading this: the game is multiplayer with control alternating between first-person view for infantry and cockpit view for flight (yes you can control the ships, too!).

We aimed for a cinematic trailer this time, and that is what we delivered.
Imo it doesn't go very far to telling the uninitiated how the game is played. I am aware of the other trailer, but that's because I've been following the mod. Anyone who is totally new to it may come away from the video thinking it is a single-player or 3rd-person multiplayer game, and you may lose potential audience. That's all I was trying to say, the quality of the video itself is very good.
This series always had amazing potential, it's great to see it realized :) looking forward to playing this mod

I don't think you should put that rockmusic in the trailer. For the action scene, I'd love that intense and spooky atmosphere the alarm gave it. With the music in the background it gets to be just another action game, atleast thats the feeling I got. Go for the spacy atmosphere you maintained before

um, i dont like the player animations that much, there's something wrong with them in my eyes; but i've gotta say, the space combat looks sweet.
