I hope they fixed all of the shooting and meleeing actions for the railgun, it got lame watching a gun shoot and nothing happen to the gu (like recoil)
a true railgun wouldn't have any recoil, it accelerates the bullet with magnets
It'd have recoil, launching a projectile at supersonic speeds would definitely give you recoil. Even if it's with magnets, the force is still going to affect the gun if it's made out of metal.
hah nice karnak. but no recoil means no speed. you can think of it the other way as well. magnets use the bullet to propel themselves against your arm. the only way i can think of in reducing recoil would be a gyroscope but that would make hard to move the weapon altogether. and spinning it up just before firing is useless since it would take too much time.
