Story synopsis:

Your name is Michael Underwood. Along with your friend Thomas Ainsworth, you agree to some temporary work in a magnificent castle. However it's not long before things start to go wrong. One day you wake up with no memory, having consumed an amnesia potion to forget goodness knows what. You need to escape the gigantic castle, but to do that you must venture back into the cold darkness of Brackenburg.

Expect to find:

- Lengthy experience (at least 1.5 - 2 hours of gameplay)
- Detailed maps
- Limited jump scares
- A disturbing tale of human savagery

This is not only my first Custom Story but also my first attempt to create a 'mod' for any game. I didnt even know how to script before starting, but I quickly learned the basics and feel i've done a pretty good job considering im such a n00b. I didn't want to stray too far from the classic 'escape the castle' setting for my first story, my aim was to simply create a scary, well made adventure.

Despite the story being complete i'm still open to criticism and changes can be made for future versions based on any feedback I receive.

So please play my story and drop me some comments on what you think worked and perhaps what didn't.

Oh, and Justine is required so please make sure you have it installed, otherwise a lot of important stuff will break.

That sounds crazy, I have never seen that happen before. The story has regular autosave checkpoints so you could just load a previous save, that should get you back on track.

I just wanted to comment on this one, aside from the impossible to find tunnel people have mentioned, my only real complaint was I thought some of the levels were a little too large and long winded, but otherwise I thought the level design was great. It was a good atmosphere, the decor fit, and I didn't notice any graphical glitches.

The story was pretty disturbing, I thought the two little twists involving the Earl were pretty good.

I'd give this one an 8/10, it had a nice amount of gameplay, and showed alot of promise. If you make another one, I'd be happy to play it.

Thanks for your feedback. To be honest a lot of the time I found myself adding stuff to levels I previously thought were finished in order to add scares/quests/length, etc. I guess increasing the quantity of levels instead of size is a better strategy..

where do I find the damn calamine chemical?I managed to find the other three, but this one eluded me.I found only locked doors and I don't know where to look anymore.
Very good custom story.I think a litlle more oil would have been more appropriate.

Calamine is actually the easiest to find :) It is in the lab on a shelf.

Also, I find it really hard to determine how much oil to put in the story, I will reconsider the amount for future updates.

You mean in the storage? You need the hammer and chipper, combine them and use on the door.
