Your name is Michael Underwood. Along with your friend Thomas Ainsworth, you agree to some temporary work in a magnificent castle. However it's not long before things start to go wrong. One day you wake up with no memory, having consumed an amnesia potion to forget goodness knows what. You need to escape the gigantic castle, but to do that you must venture back into the cold darkness of Brackenburg.
Expect to find:
- Lengthy experience (at least 1.5 - 2 hours of gameplay)
- Detailed maps
- Limited jump scares
- A disturbing tale of human savagery
This is not only my first Custom Story but also my first attempt to create a 'mod' for any game. I didnt even know how to script before starting, but I quickly learned the basics and feel i've done a pretty good job considering im such a n00b. I didn't want to stray too far from the classic 'escape the castle' setting for my first story, my aim was to simply create a scary, well made adventure.
Despite the story being complete i'm still open to criticism and changes can be made for future versions based on any feedback I receive.
So please play my story and drop me some comments on what you think worked and perhaps what didn't.
Oh, and Justine is required so please make sure you have it installed, otherwise a lot of important stuff will break.
I just wanted to say work on my new custom story is going very well, the story is called 'The Curse of Ripley Manor and is an indirect sequel to Escape from Brackenburg. It is set in the early 1900's and although the story is a new one featuring new characters there will be some easter eggs for people who played Escape from Brackenburg.
Release date is still TBD but I aim to release sooner rather than later.
