You know, I've often wondered why the rebellion never modified this carrier to pack Turbo lasers in the hangar bays. Mount twin Turbo lasers batteries in each hangar and give the empire something to really think about. Of course it would eliminate it as a fighter carrier but possibly a fast attack cruiser? Hyperspace in, unleash for a few seconds with all shes got then hyperspace out. Could be a new ship idea?....love to see it implemented, right up the rebellions alley I would think.
Ship probably doesn't have enough reactor to support anything large enough to really threaten an ISD but pack it with a large missile load and you can then hit above your weight. Probably more worth it to convert a big cargo freighter for that sort of a task though if you plan to hit and run because if it is lost it wouldn't hurt as much as losing a warship. At least in the new canon a ship like this is very valuable and you only have the ones you steal. Real life comparison would be like some rag tag group stealing an amphibious warship which would be valuable if the rest of your navy was converted speed boats so you wouldn't want to risk it in direct combat. It's a lot easier to swipe a freighter so convert that into a weapons delivery platform and if you lose it so what as long as it delivered its payload and wrecked something first.
