This mod catapults Empire at War into 2077. It maintains the game's design philosophy, while adding new units, better graphics, and deeper gameplay.
The Imperator II, it has 20% more shield points and 20% more normal hitpoints than the Imperator I. Only the notable differences from the ISD I have been noted in the image, namely: Different bridge top structure, added 20 quad low range laser cannons, added 8 octuple weapons. Currently turbolasers, I'm still deciding on whether or not to make them ion cannons, as the ship is quite powerfull already.
Only Admiral Piett will have an ISD II, all other ISDs in the mod are the ISD I. Admiral Piett is also currently the highest costing hero, with one of the strongest ships in the mod.

I've also worked on a lot of other things in the meanwhile, Tier 5 Rebel capital ship amongst them, though I still have 1 or 2 things to do on all of them, so I've got a lot of almost-finished ships...kind of irritating. Lot of work being done though.
I'd say Turbos they fit more with the imperials in my opinion.
Agreed - they are canonically turbolasers.
It could be argued that ion cannons would make them More powerful?

They canonically be both, and it'd make them less powerfull, because they don't do the damage to hitpoints anymore.

I personally take the view that the smaller damage against shields makes them less of a threat, especially against Mon Calamari capital ships, which have very resilient shields. Although I am aware that plenty of people disagree...
Mon Cal ships are pretty much all of the rebel capital ships, which are mostly shields with low hit points. The ion cannons would make it better vs the capital ships but worse vs the smaller ships, and the turbolasers currently just destroy any smaller ship, that's why I'm considering making them ioncannons.
I think turbolasers will be better for this ship, and I think 80% of the players would agree...
Yeah, therefore putting ion cannons there would make it devastating to the Mon Cal ships too, thus making it more powerful overall if it can already destroy frigates with ease...? :/

Well debatable I know this one mod Legacy and I've seen the ion cannons at work took the shields of other capitals down in about 10 seconds.... of course it was like rapid fire almost but it was crazy.

Imperial-II class should have two communication tower bars between the shield dome... or this ship is not imperial-II, it's a brand new class.

for the ion vs tlaser...ill say Turbolaser cuz ISDs are suppoesd to be destroy enemy ships asap,its truth thats Ion cannons are better against shields..but what when the shields are down? just shoot the hell out of it with Ion cannons? pfff...Turbolasers on the other hand dmg shields and when shields are down just destroy enemy ships with Turbolasers....BUT if the ion cannons have a weaker effect of the Planetary ION cannon disable/slow down enemy ships then ill say Ion cannons,cuz dats fit with a ISD arsenal i think(cant escape and killit with Tlasers when the shild is down)..dats all.
