Leave it to Jeroen(imo) to make a masterpiece out of the ugliest design in Star Wars history. Bravo sir, bravo.

Fine. I will conceed it does have a certain charm to it, in a kind of Titanic way. But you have to admit, the original model for EAW was kind of hideous.

Horrible bridge superstructure design/size and engine disposition Jeroen(imo).

I do agree with a more symmetrical bridge superstructure though but that is too much. The "original" is also too far off http://www.theforce.net/swtc/Pix/comics/de/eclipse4.jpg
maybe a middle term between the two.

I do like your liberties with more engines but not in that way.
Perhaps something along these lines but not so massive:

or like more the Executor.

Love what you've done with the trenches =)

1) he used themassive engines because the original Eclipse 1 engines are tiny. Look at Thrawns revenge, they look like Pins!
2) That large might actually not look that good. He looked at the Eclipse IIs engines and didn't really like the set-up iirc.
3) An "Executor" Style Engine section would completely destroy the lines of the Eclipses rear. It'd cut into the ship to a huge amount. Otherwise, Jers Eclipse uses the same Executor-50.x engines as the Executor.

4) He chose that Bridge design over the original (or a more standard imperial design, I personally liked it when he put a VicStar bridge on the Eclipse, some modifications and it'd have worked wonders)

Sorry Reichtangle, but are you his "defense advocate"!? Not that i was judging or condemning anyone here. I understand what he did and why he did it. I simple gave my opinion. I do appreciate your own input though =).

Once you've shown me you can build a better version, I'll happily take you seriously. Until then, not so much. When you're a mod dev you get opinions slung at you all day, either via Discord or via moddb or pms, and I have to admit that you do start caring less and less about them, especially if they're just naked opinions with no weight behind them, much like the ones in your comment. Now, if you had actually built your own, and then show me yours and it does indeed look better, now that'd catch my attention. Until then though, it's much like talking to a wall.

You are not the first nor will you be the last Dev/Modeler with an ego bigger than a Death Star II, Jeroen(imo), and this is not the first time you answer like this too. That shows lack of humility and self assurance, if i may say so.
Anyway, i'm not a Dev/Modeler nor will i have ever be, i don't have such skills but i do admire people who do. Regardless, i simply looked at your model (WIP) and commented. I was not making a "negative critic" but a "constructive one", from my own point of view. If you read my first comment you'll see that i like some things and i disliked others. Just that. =) Peace.

You've been whining about stuff for years, why didn't you spend that time learning 3d and actually contributing something? That'd be way more productive.
