This mod catapults Empire at War into 2077. It maintains the game's design philosophy, while adding new units, better graphics, and deeper gameplay.
So instead of the ridiculously OP anti fighter platform that it was (it had almost 3 times the lasers of the tartan and 1.5 times that of the corellian corvette, and they even shot 1.5 times as fast as the other corvettes lasers...OP as hell) it now is an actual gunship, like the name suggests.
I cut laser weaponary in half and added 3 small dual turbolasers, same as the corellian corvettes ones. I reduced its size a lot, I like the idea of a small, powerfull gunship, more than an oversized one for the consortium, the Empire already has one of those (the Vigil) Now it's about 150 M, 30 M smaller than the corellian corvette. I am probably going to remove the point defense laser ability, and replace it by something else. It doesn't fit the ship imo.
It's still the fastest corvette in the game, as it was in vanilla FoC. Making it smaller made it look quite nice ingame chasing other corvettes for example, as the ship is now with the added turbolasers an excellent corvette hunter, like the Empires Vigil ( Moddb.com ). Shield points and health are unchanged.

All of these improvements look great, but since you seem to be removing a lot of the incredibly OP abilities, I have to ask if you will be removing, or at least limiting, the obnoxious sabotage ability the Defilers possess?
I'll still download the mod regardless.
I'm going to try to get corruption out of the game completely. Keeping the black market, and perhaps mixing in a tech steal ability like the rebellion has.
But holy F I'm going to destroy that sabotage ability yes sir I will.
Oh, that's good to hear. Black market was a rather cool addition, too bad they didn't enhanced it much more.
Glad to hear.
