This mod catapults Empire at War into 2077. It maintains the game's design philosophy, while adding new units, better graphics, and deeper gameplay.
About 2 weeks ago someone commissioned me for an Imperial escort carrier and a TIE Hunter model + texture. The nice thing was that it was commissioned by someone who plays FoC, and wanted the ships for his personal mod. After a while some talking we concluded it'd be nice to add the ships to Re aswell. So here you go, only buildable on Fondor.
The Escort carrier carries 3 squadrons of Hunters, 2 spawned at the start. The carrier is fast, and has 2 precision turbolaser turrets (After some experimenting I went with a WW1 Railgun-esq design) 4 dual regular turbolaser turrets near the hanger and 2 rapid fire anti fighter laser turrets in front. It doesn't have any ion cannons.
The Hunter on the other hand, has capital-grade ion burst lasers, very slow shooting ones. Torpedo launchers and lasers. Very similar to the TIE Defender (fighter-bomber with high health and shields) only it's less powerful in a dogfight, and is focussed on bombing the shields on ships with its torpedoes and heavy ion cannons, so the escort carrier itself can take it down with its arsenal of turbolasers. Both ships can get away fast after that. It can also lock s foils to go faster. It deploys like Fractalsponges TIE Hunter because I think the one from the original game looks weird.
Both ships work very well in synergy.
Nice to see a good tie hunter model. This, the Avenger, and Defender are my favorite tie's.
this is high quality
It's a commission, it should be ;)
Awesome!
Are these from Rogue Squadron? Sorry, I've seen a few videos of the games but never owned a Gamecube. They look vaguely familiar though. Awesome and highly detailed models per usual Geroenimo.
If you have a wii and a gamecube controller you can play them on the wii. I recommend playing them. Amazing games and impressive graphics for the gamecube.
That looks hella dangerous.
Interesting to see an alternative take on the Hunter.
