This is a free release for the Death Star mesh, textures, and particle special effects created by me, Jeroenimo.

The Death Star is an on-rails superweapon that spawns far away from a planet target, which it automatically locks onto.
In its current configuration it takes the Death Star 220 seconds to move into firing range of the planet.
Tweaking either starting distance, max fire distance, or max speed will make it get into range faster.
WARNING: The current distances are meant to work with the Remake mod and its larger galaxy backdrop.
If you cannot see the Death Star ingame you may have to increase the size of your galaxy backdrop in the Spaceprimaryskydomes.xml.
Make sure your planet props are sufficiently far away from the playable area, and the Death Star spawn position on the other side of the playable area.

Funny thing so the game caps your credits at 1 080 000 000, but for death star you need at least 1 500 000 000... How do I fix this? Is there a script I can just re-edit?
You can just edit the cost of the DS obviously

I'm having an issue with the cinematic view of destroying a planet where a huge black circle is covering most of the screen (I believe it's the planet). I tried increasing the fire distance to see if that would help but it didn't, anyone have ideas?
That's the size of the DS itself. Simply click once on the screen to stop the cutscene once it starts. Sadly there's no fix other than reducing the DS size.

Jeroen, how do I adjust the spawn position of the death star? it is because the place where it appears and it advances until arriving at the reach of the planet not to play because it enters the space of the ships, so please tell me how I arrange it because it is appearing in a place where it engulfs the whole area of battle

Thank you for the awesome add-on! I looked into the spaceunitssupers.xml and found the cost to be 50,000, however in my GC the cost is 2,000,000. Reducing the 0s doesn't do the trick. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
that may have been the death star price, the one you can build is called death star II further down

All you have to do is to copy over and replace the files in the folders with the files in the same folders of the EAW: RE mod. However it's always good to make a backup before you replace files. I seem to have a credit issue in GC.
I did copy it over my EWA:Remake mod, added the lines to PROJECTILES.xml and changed the build cost and build time so I can test it faster but when I try to use it in battle it doesn't show up. When I try to use the laser on something the game crashes.
Could you please tell me what am I doing wrong and how to fix it? I was searching for a readme file that expains how to make it work but I couldn't find any. The description written by Jeroen doesn't help me in any way. Thank you in advance!
sorry, not a pro in this area myself. there are a lot of factors that could lead to your issue. I don't know what vesion you are using, but it has proved to be wise to use the gog version of EAW Gold.
In addition, I managed to build the death star II but when firering the laser it always misses for some reason.
I am using the GOG version and I have a clean intall of the mod but it still doesn't work. Can you tell me exactly in what order you installed the Free Release of the Death Star?
I just moved the files from the models, textures and xml folder of the .rar to the same folders of the EAW:RE mod destination and replaced what had to be replaced.

Im not a modder, how can I put this DS in my game, wich is the folder where this should be installed?
