My problem is this ship never *looked* Mon Cal. It just doesn't give me the same vibe. Gorgeous model though.
Well the Nebulon doesn't look very Kuati but hey, shipbuilders be weird yo.
The Recusant doesnt look Mon Cala but it also is ;)

Making the Recusant a MonCala design is so out of place. I feel like they just did that to make the MonCala "ermahgerd best shipbilders". I mean, the Quarren are right across the neighborhood!
Hopefully new canon makes it a Quarren ship if not any ship except Mon Calamarian.

I agree with Sly, it is out of place. I feel they did it because they wanted to link the Clone Wars era to the Galactic Civil War era, even if it was awkward and didn't fit.
How about the MC-75 in Rogue one. It's a cool looking ship but also doesn't seem very Mon Cal to me. If they put a few more weapons blisters on it maybe but it definitely doesn't fit the organic construction feel. Looks like something to mass produce.
