ESF is a fast paced, 3rd person fighter based on the hit anime, Dragonball Z. Select your favorite character and fly, power up, transform, melee, and beam your enemies into pulp. Each character is given signature moves and abilities to compliment different style of play. Some are stronger in hand to hand combat, others are better with energy attacks. Play in three different game modes, deathmatch, team deathmatch, and capture the dragonballs. There is a learning curve so newbies beware. This is not your normal Half-life mod.

Grega Jan 31 2012 replied:

It wouldnt be fair to call it GoldSRC. Its only got pieces of the original engine still in place. Lots of systems (maps, shaders,...) were replaced with custom built systems, or upgraded (character models, sounds).

Basically we added fmodx support to the sounds, updated the MDL compiler to allow for a bigger polygon count and a bigger animation count, along with texture quality updates.

I love snow/ice levels in all games, it is artistically very hard to make it realistic, yet good looking with mainly only blue and white as main color themes and especially it is hard to bring that 'cold feel' to the players!

It'd be neat if there was a screen effect that made it look like little snowflakes were hitting the camera lens and then melting away.
