ESF Is a Fast Paced, 3rd Person Fighter Based On The Hit Anime, Dragonball Z


Select your favorite character and fly, power up, transform, melee, and beam your enemies into pulp. Each character is given signature moves and abilities to compliment different style of play. Some are stronger in hand to hand combat, others are better with energy attacks. Play in three different game modes, deathmatch, team deathmatch, and capture the dragonballs. There is a learning curve so newbies beware. This is not your normal Half-life mod.

ESF_Cell_Games has received a small face-lift and some bug fixes. The original version had holes in the mesh that would cause players to fly out of the play area. The holes have been patched and the terrain smoothed out. Also, thanks to Ryo, the blend and texture UVs have been split into separate channels which makes it much easier to work out distortion in the textures.

grega this is rather a recommendation, if you intend to do color editing tool of power will be better you did powers separately.

each characters and transformations that have that character with gusts own ki auras own etc everything separately,

The edition will be much easier

example change color Kamehameha krilin white and gohan orange but goku do not want to change

or change color rafags ki goku ssj2 but sssj1 and leave ssj3 Normal

I mean that all powers not reemplazen or reuse thereof if each character and each transformation has separate powers would be great to edit

Our own tool already does that. You can set up everything on a character form base.

So you can gave Gokus normal attacks as blue and his supersayan attacks yellow. This goes for auras, attacks and so on. But its an XML tool, so some text editing is required. Dalte showed it a bit off in his last video. So if you can stomach 1 hour or ****** jokes, i advise you to watch it.

But as said, thats out own tool. Not sure how exactly the public version will look, since itll need a workover for the release to make it easier to use.

Well images are kind of out of my hands at this point, and this aint much (or really new), but this person did dig through a massive pile of spam that was the old force pit part of the forum and uploaded some things that were not shown in news updates.

So who knows, maybe youll see something you havent yet.

another question please.

1. auras / bursts ki / and other powers Will they be your color?

example

buu: Gusts ki pink / pink aura / pink kamehameha

piccolo: ki Gusts purple / purple aura /

2. Could you put a character editing mode?

example

you could change the color of auras characters

or color powers etc and save

I want that when goku ssj 3 have Super Kamehameha yellow and bursts ki red or yellow and save. and to control it goku or goku bot that when ssj3 is to have the issue that I put.

or piccolo have special beam cannon purple or blue

or cell green kamehameha etc etc etc

could do? and if you do you will plan for the future?

1.)Auras are the color of the characters ki. So they will be different depending on the character/his transformation.

2.)There is a plan to release a tool for editing effects (people thinking of making their own maps will need that), and if all goes acording to plan, youll also have access to edit the character effects/sounds.

But while it is easier than coding, its not just "ckick and change", it will require more involvement.

I think you missunderstood me there. ESF Final will need steam to work, as its the only place to get the required half life 1 patch needed to run the mod.

grega calm. the team ESF no obligation to answer, but even so yes no respond is ugly,

1- we could see models and their transformations in a video?

2- ESF team could release a little steam and non-steam alpha? if only playable on a map test

As said i most likely missed the question when you asked it the first time, so i apologize for that.

Now down to bussiness.
1.)Transformations are not really in the game yet. Right now the focus animation whise is still general movement and general melee animations. Transformations will probably be the last to be added.

2.)We are not really planing on releasing something thats not fully playable. While the indev version is working, its not something that can be seen as a game quite yet. There are things that need to be done on the UI end and most importantly performance optimization, along with constant issues we are having with ATI cards due to ****** Open GL support in the ATI drivers.

Also there will be no non-steam version of ESF. It simply wont work due to the amount of editing we did on the engine itself. The latest version of Half Life will be required and that is only available as a steam version.

Esf-final is private mod, not for public release. Esf should be blocked from modb, unless devs will post esf-final public release date.
Esf devs don't care at all about community...
