ESF is a fast paced, 3rd person fighter based on the hit anime, Dragonball Z. Select your favorite character and fly, power up, transform, melee, and beam your enemies into pulp. Each character is given signature moves and abilities to compliment different style of play. Some are stronger in hand to hand combat, others are better with energy attacks. Play in three different game modes, deathmatch, team deathmatch, and capture the dragonballs. There is a learning curve so newbies beware. This is not your normal Half-life mod.

Probably someone of the team will read it. ;)

How much they will care about it is another story though. :P

We read everything here. We just ignore everything that says OMG RELEASE IT NOW

I'm pretty sure they do read this. They just get tired of it. Like your saying "release the game" is going to make them say "Oh! Of course! That's a great idea. Not sure why we didn't do that years ago."

Seriously just wait, don't ask. It doesn't help.

Asking definitely wont help, just give it another decade or so for release but by then im sure it wont matter :)

Waiting all these years to be disappointed in the end... All hype.

I don't think it will be released in the end to be honest. I think this will happen: they encounter glitch after glitch trying to fix it. They try to fix it but it just doesn't work because there's too many. They either release a glitchy version or give up on the project because there's only so much time people stay interested. Still is nice to have some hope though.

Not like the developers give a **** about what we think.... just like dawn of victory and what happened to that will happen to this.

They assume people will wait for the "final" release which will be cluttered with bugs... Only to wait some more for those to be fixed. Heh.

Actually we asume to release the game with as many fixed bugs as possible so that we dont have to do any extra work after the release.

Its a cool picture it really is, but can you take screen shots of things we haven't seen like Kia attacks? More beams and effects?

Dear ESF Guys

I myself am a game developer from SA and would like to congratulate you on what you are doing. Spare time is a very difficult thing to find and the amount of failed projects I have had due to this is frustratingly high. Guys, just looking at the in engine shading, the amazingly done Landscape texturing(i know how long unwrapping and texturing can take), the character accuracy and the shadowing on the grass makes me extremely proud to be a part of this community. Thanks guys and i am extremely excited to play this very soon.

My proffessional opinion , some animations are a little stiff/"weird" but still very decent. I know you are always improving so if you have time, take it into consideration. Congrats.
PS I would pay for this game

Why do I get the feeling that I'll spend most of my time frolicking in the beautifully-rendered fields than I will be destroying them and my foes?

Why not release a beta of this mod, and let the people help it develop ?

We tried that. We got only complaints and maybe 5 or so people helping. Those 5 were offerend tester positions once we demed the open beta being a time waste.
